UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission. This test establishes the eligibility of the candidate for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) award and lectureship. The objective of this exam is to attain minimum standards in research and the profession of teaching.
CSIR holds the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

UGC NET (CSIR VGC test for JRF and LS (NET)) is a 100 test series for preparation of NET exam. The tests are based on latest syllabus and are time framed, hence providing a real exam time environment. The test’s cover the given syllabus which is divided into three parts:
1) Part 'A' (common to all subjects.) This part contains questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
2) Part 'B' contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.
3) Part ‘C’ contains higher value questions that may the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.
